the Comfort Sock for Prosthetic Legs
In 1999 I lost my leg in an industrial accident and to clean up the mess the hospital did a 'through the knee' amputation. A couple of months later I got my first prosthetic and came to terms with wearing this uncomfortable limb. As a motorcycle enthusiast and rider I had to find a way of making the whole experience more comfortable and after six years in development I designed and patented the COMFORT SOCK, which transforms life by making it more comfortable and flexible when wearing a prosthetic leg. The COMFORT SOCK makes simple things like going to the bathroom and sitting down much more comfortable and easier to operate your prosthetic leg.

Every day we hear about great new inventions like the C LEG and other computer controled leg units and feet. They may all be great magical devices but ultimately they are all operated by a good fitting prosthetic socket. As we amputees know the good fitting socket you left the clinic with does not last as long as we would like. We need a socket that fits perfect every morning we put our leg on. For this reason I invented the comfort sock, which makes your socket a perfect fit everyday. It requires you or your prosthetist to modify your existing socket as per instructions when you order your comfort sock. I have been testing the comfort sock for 6 years and been through 2 motorcycle crashes, the prosthetic leg and comfort sock came off better than i did.
Important notice: The comfort sock is a DIY modification to your original socket, you will need the help of someone who can operate a jigsaw and follow the simple instruction, which are included with the comfort sock and will take approximately 30 mins to complete.
